About

AS50224 is a small research network operated in Australia.

Majority of network traffic is originated from Australia. With some traffic originating from other countries from edge routers.

Our connectivity blend provides indirect/direct access to the following network providers:

• Local ISPs (Optus, Telstra, etc.)
• Local IXPs (IX Australia, EdgeIX, MegaIX)
• Global Secure Layer
• Tier 1 Transit Providers (NTT, GTT, Arelion, PCCW, etc.)

Peering

AS50224 maintains a open peering policy with other networks. We prefer that you use the IX route servers for peering when possible. Direct peering is also available upon request.

The following peering policy is applied to all sessions:

• RPKI routes are rejected
• BGP communities are applied to all routes and are available at here
• Session prefix limits and as-sets are automatically obtained from PeeringDB
• We may only announce a subset of our routes to you.
• Sessions may be terminated if they are not in the best interest of the network.
• Prefixes with invalid next-hop or private ASNs are rejected.
